When Love Knocks Like the Ocean
Dear Love,
There is a moment in every woman’s life when she feels the tide shift.
Not on a calendar or in your plans, but deep within you—an inner knowing that love is near.
It does not arrive with urgency.
It arrives like the ocean, slowly advancing with each wave, always present yet never overwhelming all at once.
Persistent. Patient. It wears at the shore, gently but endlessly shaping the land with every gentle surge.
It does not demand you answer right away, just as the ocean trusts the shore will be there to meet its waves.
And so, you wait. Not out of fear, but out of reverence.
Because settling dishonors the person you are now.
Because patience is more rewarding than compromise.
Love worth having challenges you—in a good way.
It pushes your limits to help you grow.
It whispers, Stay here. Stay open. Stay unguarded.
A vulnerable heart finds the greatest love.
We have been taught to armor ourselves, to measure love like a transaction, to hold back pieces of ourselves until we are sure.
But intimacy—true intimacy—is simply genuine.
It needs no act or effort. It is the calm after the tension.
When it is real, falling in love is returning to yourself.
A return to the knowing that you were always worthy.
A return to the whole part of you.
This is why you do not rush.
This is why you do not settle.
Because love—true, oceanic love—does not need chasing.
It arrives when you have become a home for it, when your spirit says yes without hesitation.
And when it comes, you will not have to question.
You will open the door, and like the tide meeting the shore, love will carry you home.
