The Woman I Became Quietly

There is something sacred
about becoming private.

No audience.
No announcement.
No frantic need to be witnessed
while the soul rearranges itself.

Just the long, invisible labor
of choosing yourself
again and again
until it becomes instinct.

I have learned that elegance
It’s not perfection.
It is composure in the midst of uncertainty.
It is grace that does not tremble
when the room shifts.

And confidence—real confidence—
rarely raises its voice.

It enters quietly.
Well-dressed.
Unhurried.
Certain of its place.

There was a time
I believed transformation would arrive
like fireworks—
loud, immediate, impossible to ignore.

Instead, it arrived like dawn.

Slowly.
Tenderly.
With light touching one corner first
before illuminating the whole landscape.

Now, I no longer confuse chaos for passion
or exhaustion for purpose.

I have no desire
to force what is not flowing.

What is meant for me
does not need to be chased breathlessly.
It recognizes me by my peace.

And peace—
What an exquisite achievement.

Not because life became perfect,
But because I stopped abandoning myself
to survive it.

There is a profound freedom
in no longer shrinking
to accommodate the comfort of others.

In speaking gently
without doubting your power.

In remaining soft
without becoming weak.

I have become a woman
who trusts her own rhythm.

A woman who understands
that timing is not punishment.
That stillness is not failure.
That becoming takes the time becoming requires.

And so I move differently now.

Not hurried.
Not hardened.
Not hungry for validation.

Just rooted.

Rooted in the quiet certainty
that everything is blooming in my life
was first cultivated in unseen places.

The world celebrates the flower,
But rarely the soil.

I honor both.

Because I know what it costs
to become this woman—
this poised, luminous, deeply grounded self
who now walks through life
with elegance in her spirit
and peace in her hands.
